Presentations in NRM meeting- and conference rooms

NRM have recently equipped the meeting rooms with large screens. With this addition comes a system where computers are to connect to the screens using a wireless "dongle". In order to use this device, the user needs to install "an app": Barco ClickShare Launcher.

There is no support for Linux OS in this setup.

However, the Barco company states that one might be able to share content from a Linux device using "the Google Cast extension within the Google Chrome browser" (untested mån 10 feb 2025 12:45:56). See also discussion regarding the Barco ClickShare for linux here: https://gist.github.com/barentsen/bacd4360fb31e7456d659d07b014e834

Rooms with HDMI

For some of the meeting rooms, there might still be a possibility to connect a HDMI-cable to the screen (untested in most rooms Feb 2025). Good tip is to check the room beforehand, and bring a HDMI-cable.
