Much of the NRM planning and activities (most notably: meeting invites) are handled through MS Outlook Calendar. For users not having MS Outlook, this poses a problem. I (JN) have not yet solved the integration with MS Exchange Calendar into Thunderbird. What happens now is when a colleague invites you to an event using MS Exchange Calendar, you will receive an e-mail with an empty body. I have now learned to recognize these e-mails and always replies with a plea of adding date and time in the e-mail header. A Sisyphus task, indeed.
There are plugins to Thunderbird (Lightning) that are made for talking with MS Exchange Calendar, but last time I looked, they did not receive high ratings, so I didn't took the time to try them out.
There are also instructions on how to use Davmail for communicating with MS Outlook Calendar, but I have not yet tried them: http://davmail.sourceforge.net/thunderbirdcalendarsetup.html
Description on a working solution is most welcome.
