By configuring Homey as a controller in your ESP Easy unit, you allow Homey to receive real-time updates of your connected sensors. When you pair a new unit to Homey, all the information you need will be shown during the pairing wizard or you can use the manual below for a step-by-step guide.
- Browse to the configuration webpage of your ESP Easy unit. You can do this by entering the IP address of the unit in a web browser
- Open the "Controllers" tab
- Pick a number for the controller and click "edit" or "add" (Depending on the firmware version)
- Tip: You might want to skip controller 1 and go for place 2 instead. Read more...
- Select "Generic HTTP" as protocol
- Enter Homey's IP address in the "Controller IP" field
- Homey's IP address will be shown if you start to pair your ESP unit from the Homey app
- Scroll down and enter the following URL in the "Controller Publish" field
api/app/nl.joolee.homey.espeasy/?i=%ip%&m=%mac%&t=%tskname%&x=%id%&k=%valname%&v=%value%
- Check "Enabled" and click "Submit"

If you don't have any devices connected yet, I recommend adding a "System info" device to help you find out if you set up everything correctly.
