So I'll go ahead and remove what everybody knows about Colorado being inhabited almost completely by scum.
That aside the project.
This project's aim is to create a series of scripts and utilities which allow a developer using a mssql backend to create, from various government data sources a decently normalized database of GIS and Census data and to also integrate compressed and sectioned raster data to try and save space.
This project contains an updated dbfDataReader source base that can be found on YellowFeather's DbfDataReader Project project, which overall is a pretty awesome unidirectional dbase 4.0 reader. Which also happens to be the version of Dbase that the US Government tends to freeze its GIS feature files at.
When this project is finished a person implementing it will be able to run a simple tool with a few configurable options that will build a GIS backend using MSSQL's geospatial features, and apply more advanced indexing to speed data retrieval.
This like most of the projects on this repo are being developed by a bored, highly annoyed developer stuck in a hellish landscape of corrupt officials and child molesting sex trafficking drug addled and dealing garbage practicing an even more immoral version of multiracial slavery. So do not expect releases to happen very quickly.
