Disable replies
Smalltown enables moderators to disable replies on a post. This feature is effective only if you are completely siloed, or if the sites you federate with also run Smalltown and are compliant. Admins can turn the feature on and off in "Site settings".
Replies are a common place where conversations get out of hand. Allowing moderators to turn off the replies on a post can defuse a situation and hopefully lead to healthier conversations.
To allow moderators to disable replies, admins toggle the box in "Site settings". Default is unchecked.
To disable replies on a post, site staff can take action anywhere there is a post-level moderation action table. There is a “Disable replies” button that will disable the replies on the selected posts.
