The Portland tech community needs a calendar that is...
- comprehensive, covering events across a wide range of technology and geek culture interests
- automatically updated from a variety of external sources, tapping into the work people are already doing on individual sites, Upcoming, the AboutUs wiki, etc.
- editable: for events with no external group website, for fixing import errors, duplicated events, etc.
- exported into every calendar format we can for easy publishing and reuse.
- owned by the community: not dependent on the continued participation/support of any individual contributor or company
