Column Definitions: Tunecore

Context

Tunecore is a digital distributor. Artists/Labels upload their music, artwork and metadata to the service and pay a fee to Tunecore for adding it to streaming services such as Deezer, Spotify and Apple Music.

Column Definitions

(A) Sales Period

When the sales happened.

YYYY-MM-DD

(B) Posted Date

When the sales were paid out.

YYYY-MM-DD

(C) Store Name

The store the sales were paid from.

e.g. Apple Music

(D) Country Of Sale

The country where the sale was made.

e.g. RU, UK

(E) Artist

The artist.

(F) Release Type

Song / Album

(G) Release Title

The title of the parent product (e.g. the album)

(H) Song Title

The title of the song that was sold

(I) Label

The name of the record label as listed on Tunecore.

(J) UPC

Universal Product Code of the parent product.

(K) Optional UPC

The user can enter their own UPC. So the previous one is maybe only for Tunecore's reference (TBC)

(L) TC song ID

The ID of the song in Tunecore.

(M) Optional ISRC

The International Standard Recording Code of the song.

(N) Sales Type

How the earning was created.

e.g. Streaming / Download

(O) # Units Sold

The number of units 'sold'. Here a sale can mean streams or paid downloads.

(P) Per Unit Price

The earning generated by each stream or sale.

(Q) Net Sales

Units Sold x Per Unit Price

(R) Net Sales Currency

The currency that the net sales were processed in.

e.g. USD

(S) Exchange Rate

The exchange rate used to calculate the final total in the user's own chosen currency.

e.g. 0.79

(T) Total Earned

Net Sales x Exchange Rate

(U) Currency

The currency of Column T.

e.g. GBP
