Welcome to the ninjaGUI wiki!

ninjaGUI is a Matlab-based graphics user interface (GUI) for acquiring functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) signals with fNIRS serial devices such as ninjaNIRS and NIRS1k. Data is stored in snirf format, which is compatible with fNIRS analysis software Homer3.

This wiki will be used to document the code, as well as a user manual.

Important note: some functions of the GUI require additional toolboxes to work. The Statistics and Signal processing toolboxes need to be installed for certain features. Furthermore, LSL needs to be installed in the same folder as ninjaGUI for the GUI to be able to stream the fNIRS data in real time. Matlab 2019 or newer is necessary for the app to run (note: the GUI has not been tested on Matlab version 2021+). Additionally, the GUI only currently only works on Windows platforms.
