return game counts alongside nonempty responses, so that frontend can use https://ant.design/components/pagination/
known feature: when requested an out-of-range page (for example: page 3 of a 5-item result) it will return 0 count. frontend should retry with page 1 to be really sure it's zero count. not sure if it's worth the extra code to get the correct count in this case.
