Install vigir with atlas proprietary_software

Note instructions below are only applicable for users who have access to propietary BDI software (mostly DRC Atlas teams)

The following assumes you followed the common install instructions here. For using the full setup as used during the DRC Finals, propietary software by Boston Dynamics is required, namely 'AtlasRobotInterface_3.3.0' and 'AtlasSimInterface_3.0.2'. Those two have to be copied into the WORKSPACE_ROOT/bdi_interface folder and the the 'install_bdi_interface.h' script in the folder has to be run once. It overwrites the BDI Sim Interface coming with drcsim and thus allows walking control with Atlas V5 in drcsim.

  • Run the full vigir drcsim install script:
roscd
../rosinstall/install_scripts/install_drcsim_vigir_setup_full.sh
  • Build
vigir make
