Screenshotting the Developer Console

IF you are on Linux, please attempt the steps below, Linux is unofficially supported and it is well known that Developer Tools sometimes will not work.

Open the Developer Tools

First, you need to run the command:

spicetify apply enable-devtools

This will relaunch Spotify with the Developer Tools activated; but, you won't notice anything just yet, we still have to open them.

There are two ways to open the Developer Tools:

  1. Right click on any empty space that doesn't show the Spotify menu, once that menu popups click "Inspect".
  2. Depends on the operating-system:
    • Windows: Click the three-dots in the top-left, then go to "Develop" -> "Developer Tools"
    • MacOS: Click the "Develop" option at the top, then click "Developer Tools"
    • Linux: Click the "Spotify" title and then click on "Developer Tools"

Open the "Console" tab

Finally, screenshot everything in this tab. The Console may have too many things and will have to be scrolled, make SURE to take a screenshot of everything!
