RFSOC-AMC is general purpose platform for SDR, radar and quantum applications

  • AMC form factor with optional Rear Transition Module
  • 8 channel 12bit ADC, 4GS/s (4 channel mode), 2GS/s (8 channel mode). 5GS/s coming soon.
  • 8 channel 14bit DAC, 6GS/s, 10GS/s coming soon.
  • AFE module with i.e. up/down converters, based on Xilinx RFSOC devkit connector.
  • RTM compatible with RTM-SFP-QSFP, Sayma RTM
  • AMC FatPipe1/FatPipe2 support for DRTIO and PCIe
  • compatible with companion board - Metlino which provides sub-ns timing and real-time control of all AMC modules. It can sit in the second MCH slot while the first is used for PCIe hub.
  • Clock recovery DRTIO and White Rabbit-type + Xilinx RFSOC devkit-style ADC/DAC clock generation
  • External 100/125MHz clock input, other frequencies possible
  • 2x 64bit PL-DDR4 (2x8GB)
  • 1x64bit PS-DDR4 (8GB)
  • 8-channel AWG, 4Gs/s on all channels, limited by memory depth
  • Power supplies based on low EMI uModules
  • Dedicated timing FPGA for deterministic AFE control (RF switches, gain changes, phase calibration). It can run WR node or DRTIO.
  • Round-trip delay of ADC – logics- DMA – logics – DAC <120ns
  • Power consumption ~10W idle, ADCs and DACs running full speed.
  • Up-to 96 channel AWG/SDR system in single 19” MTCA chassis
  • Low latency AMC-to-AMC link

The module is very versatile due to user-defined front-end modules. Additional connectivity is maintained using the optional RTM module with QSFP28 connectors where 100G Ethernet can be used.

Versatile AFE modules for:

  • S-band radio with direct digital IQ modulation/demodulation
  • X-band radio with classical IQ up/down-converter
  • Ion Trap RF chain with time synced RF switches
  • DC-coupled SC qubit readout
