Debian Jessie based docker image to run AceStream Engine
In order to be able to use play.sh
(a wrapper to play acestream links using this docker image) you need to have installed acestream-launcher and VLC as a player.
To facilitate the use of this repo, I included a Makefile with some simple targets:
build
will build the docker image, and tag ittest
will run the container in the foregroundshell
will run the container in the background, and attach to the shellpush
will push to a remote repo (dockerhub)security-check
will runconftest
with the .rego policy in the repo
If you want to run this docker container in a different machine (e.g. a server) from the one playing the stream, then you'd have to modify the acestream-launcher python file to be able to do so:
/usr/local/lib/python3.6/dist-packages/acestream_launcher/stream.py
the line: def __init__(self, bin, host='<IP_of_docker_host_here>', port=6878, timeout=30):
Remember to expose port 6878 (AceStream Engine API port).
I found about conftest
to test the Dockerfile on this post https://cloudberry.engineering/article/dockerfile-security-best-practices/
I used https://github.com/gbrindisi/dockerfile-security rego file to perform my conftest.
