Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will unit X be added the calculator?

A: Long story short, part of the stuff required to add a unit to the calculator comes from the official JP guide, so before the unit is added there, there's little I can do. Feel free to shake your fist at the sky cursing slow Japanese web devs.

Q: I have character X which is marked as "incomplete" in the character table, I can help if you want.

A: I appreciate the sentiment, but for various reason, the unit is going to remain marked as incomplete until its complete details have been added to the official guide. If you want its minimum and maximum stats to be added to the character table, I can extrapolate them with a good degree of precision if I have their values at at least three different levels (eg stats at level 1, stats at level 10, stats at level 20). If you can be bothered to do that, feel free to fill this form right here.

Frequently Reported Bugs

Q: I can't find unit X

A: If it's a unit that was released only very recently, wait. If it's not, enable fuzzy search, you're probably misspelling the name and/or using a different spelling. If you still can't find it for whatever reason, report the bug.

Q: I can't see the site on X / The site doesn't display correctly on X

A: If it's iPhone-related, though luck. I don't really have any way of fixing it. Pull requests are welcome. If it's Internet Explorer-related, go away. If it's none of the above, report the bug.

Frequently Requested Features

Q: Add feature X to the calculator

A: Check the operators (top-right corner). If there's already a way to do do something via operators, chances are I'm not going to implement it as a filter.

Q: Add lock/binding/silence to the calculator

A: Ctrl/Alt/Shift-click is your friend

Q: Add an option to specify up to 2 classes when filtering characters

A: You can already do that, select a class in the sidebar and use the "class:" operator as a query string

Q: Add a "search/filter by ID" option

A: There already is an operator for that ("id:")

Q: Add an "all" option to display all units at once in the character table

A: No, because reasons.

Q: Add the number of sockets each character has in the character table

A: Already there, under "slots". No, I'm not going to use "sockets" because a) it sounds hideous and b) it doesn't particularly make sense anyway (they're called "ability slots" in the Japanese version).

Q: Add something to help keeping track of the units I already have in my character log

A: Already there, in the character table. You can either use the checkboxes in the main page or the one in each character's detail page.
