@nx10 This provides the following Dev Containers:

  • 'R latest (Debian stable)'
  • 'R devel (Debian stable, Clang, libc++)'
  • 'R devel (Debian stable, Clang)'
  • 'R devel (Debian stable, GCC)'
  • 'R devel (Debian testing, Clang, libc++)'
  • 'R devel (Debian testing, Clang)'
  • 'R devel (Debian testing, GCC)'
  • 'R devel (Debian unstable, Clang, libc++)'
  • 'R devel (Debian unstable, Clang)'
  • 'R devel (Debian unstable, GCC)'

Dev Container 'R latest (Debian stable)' is derived from glcr.b-data.ch/r/tidyverse (https://github.com/b-data/r-docker-stack) with pre-built R.
👉 The other Dev Containers are derived from the debian base image and build R from source.
