Maintainers should tag issues that they do not have time to address immediately.

If a software package (emacs, opencv) has enough issues by itself, create a tag for that package. This makes it easier to post to the mailing list for experts to come and sort them out.

build-errors build errors in brews that otherwise seem to work for people
emacs issues relating to emacs
erlang issues relating to Erlang and software that uses Erlang
feature-suggestion feature suggestions and core behavior changes
launchd launchctl integration and startup plists
libpng issues caused by libpng 1.5 (on Lion)
llvm reports of brews that now work under llvm
macosx-duplicate submitted formula that duplicate system software
needs-review brew submissions that need some review by maintainers and the community
opencv There are enough OpenCV issues to warrant a tag (so that an expert can sort them out.)
postgres There are enough Postgres issues to warrant a tag (so that an expert can sort them out.)
requested-formula formula requests without a first attempt
upstream-issue errors that should be reported upstream, or that must be fixed upstream
xcode issues caused by a user's version of Xcode
