I had such high hopes for productivity today \(Sunday, Day 54\). Instead I spent it walking and talking with fantastic people. Breakfast and Lunch were in Park Slope with the thoughtful @saturnial. Between Lunch and Dinner, I enjoyed the company of Courtney, who walked with me from the Williamsburg Bridge to Grand Central Station. And then I had a wonderful dinner with @frewsxcv. Finally, in an attempt to avoid the still broken D train, I decided to take an UberPOOL \(which I hadn't taken since I left SF\). I was matched with @pierrevalade, who was an absolute delight to talk to about software and big companies.

Yesterday, Day 53, Saturday, I attended [Two5Six](http://2015.two5six.com/). I took copious notes and tried to get [photos of all of the speakers](https://www.flickr.com/search/?user_id=42027916%!N%28MISSING), but I missed a few.

I had a lot of takeaways, but it's late and I'm not quite in the mood to go through all of my notes. I think the highest level was that video games and culture are merging in weird ways, and that Two5Six is a well curated conference with fantastic discussion. I think the tickets are a little overpriced \(probably worth $100, they charged $250\), but a wonderful RCer got me in for free, so it was worth it.

Ok, I won't lie to you, I lost a lot of time today to reading about Google I/O and discussing it with people. Sadly none of Google's announcements promissed a way to lower device turnover. We're still gonna have to buy a new device every year if we want the newest version of Android. It's realities like this that make me want to move to Apple devices, no matter how much better Android is.

Another thing that took up a bunch of my time was @alexbaldwin telling me [my wallpaper site](http://walls.natwelch.com) wasn't showing up in Google. This led me down a rabbit hole because my site was running slow, running on a deprecated Heroku stack, and I had a bunch of wallpapers to finish making in my queue.

What I really wanted to do today, was build [Meet](http://github.com/icco/meet). I got started, in that I got basic OAuth with RC working. Now I just need to get all of the functionality besides auth working. The idea is a site that matches you with someone else in RC every day, so you get to know everyone in the space. If it works well, then I hope to start matching alumni as well.

So much #inspiration today. Or at least content to get me thinking about things. @niket and I had a chat on Wednesday (someone remind me to write a blog post on how I keep in touch with people), and one person that came up was his friend [Gary Chou](http://garychou.com/). This morning I had an email introducing us, which led me into internet stalker mode. Who is this guy? I had researched [Orbital 1k](http://orbitalnyc.com/1k/) a little, but that's all I knew.
