Test-pre-release internal fork of react-pacomo

As part of the ongoing effort to migrate goog2go to React 18, we've encountered a dependency conflict between React versions 17 and 18 due to the current state of react-pacomo. To ensure a smooth transition and maintain compatibility, this PR introduces necessary updates and refactoring to react-pacomo.

The proposed changes include:

1. Code refactoring for better alignment with React 18's architecture.

2. Updating package dependencies to resolve conflicts and leverage the latest features.

3. Ensuring that react-pacomo remains fully functional and efficient post-migration.

By merging these updates, we'll be paving the way for a seamless upgrade to React 18 for goog2go and any other projects dependent on react-pacomo.
