Description

This pull request includes significant updates to the CI/CD pipeline configuration, particularly focusing on CircleCI workflows and npm publishing processes. The changes streamline the setup and publishing steps, ensuring better management of dependencies and environment variables.

CircleCI Configuration Updates:

  • Added a new utils orb for CircleCI utilities to the configuration (.circleci/config.yml).
  • Introduced a prepare-snapshot command to handle snapshot versioning and environment setup (.circleci/config.yml).
  • Replaced the lint, test, and typecheck jobs with a consolidated check job, and added a publish-to-npm job for publishing versions (.circleci/config.yml).

GitHub Actions Cleanup:

  • Removed the custom setup action in .github/actions/setup/action.yml as it is now handled within the CircleCI configuration.
  • Deleted the release-snapshot.yml workflow, consolidating its functionality into the CircleCI workflows (.github/workflows/release-snapshot.yml).
  • Removed the release.yml workflow, with its tasks now managed in the CircleCI configuration (.github/workflows/release.yml).

Package Management:

  • Simplified the release:publish script in package.json by removing redundant installation steps (package.json).
