Install ubuntu 20.04 in a virtual box vm on Windows 10 laptop

Prereqs
Download Virtualbox (6.1) to create a VM
Download Ubuntu server ISO file to install Ubuntu

VM Settings

Create a VM with all basic options

Go to network settings of a VM
VM -> Settings -> Network

File -> preferences -> network

Note: if NatNetwork does't exists add one.

Install ubuntu 20.04

Add ubuntu live server iso to VM

Boot the VM While through the booting/Installing options Select

Here you should get the IP

If not

Save it and continue with the installation.
