CipherworldAmitjuly2020

A gem to encrypt and decrypt txt files. Use the following options:

  • 'ruby RUBYFILE.rb ll enc FILE.txt' for letter letter encryptions
  • 'ruby RUBYFILE.rb ln enc FILE.txt key' for letter number encryptions
  • 'ruby RUBYFILE.rb ll dec FILE.txt' for letter letter decryptions
  • 'ruby RUBYFILE.rb ln dec FILE.txt key' for letter number decryptions

key refers to a number: this can be any number

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'cipherworld_amitjuly2020'

And then execute:

$ bundle install

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install cipherworld_amitjuly2020

Usage

cipher.rb ll enc .txt cipher.rb ln enc .txt key cipher.rb ll dec .txt cipher.rb ln dec .txt key

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
