## Accelerating the Supercloud in 2024 and beyond
2023 was a defining year for Akash, and 2024 is already shaping up to continue that progress and expand on it as the network focuses on scaling supply, demand, and core functionality. Last year, the network's milestones, including the radical open-sourcing of the process that builds the network and the launch of GPU support, laid a foundation for the core initiatives planned for the coming year. Provider incentives will bring more compute onto the network and help to scale demand (given the network’s ~50% utilization and PMF), which in turn will help to create a flywheel of growth that will only build over time.
