Update funding information #2410
Conversation
The WP PHP Open Collective, aside from the name conveying the completely wrong message, has so far not been in touch with us about how funds can be released or anything else. This seems like a dead-end. Switching to the PHP_CodeSniffer Open Collective makes more sense (to me). Happy to have a discussion about this.
I have no comment on the change itself, but want to tag @sereedmedia and @courtneyr-dev since they are both admins on The WP Community Collective |
I'm ready to approve this PR and merge since we haven't heard from @sereedmedia and @courtneyr-dev about funding here. @jrfnl did they contact you maybe via Slack or some other channel? |
Not about this. |
I just got this tag and this is the first I'm seeing this. I have no idea what it is even referring to. Reviewing now. |
Hi all. Please absolutely change this reference to direct potential donors to the official PHP CodeSniffer collective. For reference: The organization Courtney Robertson and I have founded is called the WP Community Collective (the WPCC). We set up a fund in August when we learned of the imminent transition facing WPCS. "WPPHP" is not an organization, it is only a donation tier for the WPCC, which is a 501(c)3 org. Those funds have been designated to support the work being done to transition WPCS and its related projects to a stand-alone organization. We are no longer accepting donations for our WPPHP tier, and are directing any interested donors to PHP CodeSniffer, a 501(c)6 organization. |
