Just the back and forth and different programs/webpages....I'll get it - just not used to working in a group setting...used to being a sole developer :)

Oh man... I used to do that. I found it pretty stressful.
So in the event you have not had to deal with version control before I even use this kind of stuff on solo projects. It very much keeps me sane. I make PRs on my solo projects too.

I don't use clients like SourceTree so if you are comfortable using the command line I would be happy to show you how to do all/most this in a terminal window. That always feels a little less like jumping around. Also Clion has a built in git client which is worth a try and you might find useful. But that is only if you want to of course or if you are more familiar with using TFS in visual studio or something.

Thank you for the feedback/suggestions...I would like to learn version control b/c I know that in the future I'll be on teams instead of continuing the solo gig and doing my own thing - so I think this is a good learning opportunity for me to use software versioning instead of relying on folders or the name-rename1-rename2 thing that I have been doing. Just confusing right now, but I'll get the hang of it. I'll keep those options you mentioned open though and ping you if I think I'd rather go another way. Thanks again for the help - I'm not used to instructors being available on Sunday afternoons :)
