👋 Hello world, my name is Stefano De Giorgis

I'm a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies - National Research Council (ISTC-CNR).

I did my PhD in Digital Humanities and Digital Knowledge at University of Bologna, specifically focusing on Knowledge Representation and Extraction.
My main research interests are knowledge graphs, ontologies; knowledge representation, cognitive semantics, and frame semantics.
The main focus of my research is the realization of Grounded World Models, namely realising models of the world grounded in real world data as well as human social behavior.
I've been working on the transposition of theories of moral and cultural values into formal semantics, with an approach based on frame semantics and embodied cognition.
The reason to work on these topics is, as ultimate goal, a more ethical, open, explainable, accessible, and equal AI.
