autoEdit 1.0.6 release notes

This version is backwards compatible with previous pre-releases from 1.0.3, 1.0.4 or 1.0.5 .

• For first time users see these instructions for installing
• For returning users
  • For clean uninstall use app cleaner, this will delete transcriptions you might already have in the app.
  • To keep previous transcriptions and make use of new functionalities for 1.0.6.This is only possible if you are running 1.0.3, 1.0.4 or 1.0.5 you can just follow regular instructions for installing and drag and drop in applications folder to replace the app. This will keep any transcriptions you currently have in there.
    When you drag and drop in application folder and chose replace.

Bug fixes and improvements

• Various bug fixes.
• added error handling for ibm Watson STT API. It will now give you a helpful error message if you added invalid credentials, or there is no internet connection etc..
• added credentials settings panel for ibm STT API. To allow to view and change credentials once set.

New features

• Updated and migrated user manual to gitbooks
• --> Paperediting feature <-- you can now pull selections from multiple transcriptions and arrange them into a story.
• added ibm Speech to text support for Modern Standard Arabic language.
• Metadata now reads fps of original source. This should allow to support reconnecting EDL with wider type of formats.
• EDL export should work with NTSC and other formats, as using fps from clip.
• added support for pocketsphinx for free offline transcription.
