# Sample runs

The following runs are of a 256MB file.

## Mac OS X, with Oracle Java

## Android 4.4.4, Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919)

This run was conducted on the built-in storage of a US Samsung Galaxy
S4. It omits the "FileChannel with MappedByteBuffer" strategy as this
one ran out of memory quickly, failing with ENOMEM in a JNI call. The
other strategies failed to allocate 64MB and larger buffers, so those
are also omitted. This run suggests that all strategies are effectively
equivalent, so long as you use an 8KB buffer. There seem to be slight
benefits (~5%) in using a 4MB buffer. These runs showed fairly high
variability, so YMMV.
