This year's event spanned two days and featured studies on various topics within IR, RS, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Key focus areas included enhanced retrieval models, personalized information systems, conversational interfaces and user-centric systems, comparative evaluations and metrics, and practical applications in specific fields. IIR 2024 was jointly organized by the University of Udine and the University of Milano-Bicocca and was held in Udine, Italy."
