Smaller is a source preprocessor which could be used to preprocess js or css. There are a numberous different tools which are integrated in smaller. The most known are less.js, google-closure, uglify and coffeescript.

The latest version of smaller supports processors which are npm-modules. The example on how to use it is the browserify processor. The pom.xml is the only required source to create a npm-processor for smaller.
