2025-01-01 Hotfix 2

Fixes some creatures spawning only in very few places in base Subnautica.

There are no changes for Below Zero.

Important

If you are playing on an existing Subnautica save, you will need to clear your CellsCache (see below) to regenerate creature spawns.

Clearing CellsCache

Clearing the cells cache will regenerate resources and creature spawns. It does not affect your inventory or anything you have placed in the world, so it is entirely safe to do.

1. Go to the game's install directory (see the "Installing" section below for how to locate it)
2. Go to SNAppData/SavedGames/slotXXXX (where XXXX is your save slot, e.g. slot0000)
3. Delete the CellsCache folder
   

Installing

1. Go to the game's install directory (right click the game in Steam -> Manage -> Browse local files)
   
2. Download SCHIZO-(game)-with-dependencies.zip (e.g. SCHIZO-BelowZero-with-dependencies.zip) from the file list below and extract it into this directory.
   • The folder should look something like this - note the highlighted files you just extracted:

3. If you're installing on top of an already modded game, you can skip extracting BepInEx/core - but you still should extract the contents of the BepInEx/plugins and BepInEx/patchers directories just in case you don't have all of the dependencies
