I realize that the QT 6.8.1 cmake files do not like the "unstable" in "2.6 unstable" string. Or even any other qualifier that is not in the strict version format. So, let us strip it from the PROJECT_VERSION.
The second change is to allow specifying PCM device for alsa. This is useful when you run with DAC cards that do not have volume control and then create an alsa device implementing the software volume control.
