Minigame Tool

One of the new features that was added in Minigames 1.6.0 is the Minigame tool. This was created in the purpose of simplifying location selections, instead of complicated commands with no visual help. The Minigame tool has the following modes, each can be selected via:

/minigame tool <Mode>

  • Start
  • End
  • Quit
  • Lobby
  • Regenarea (Minigame regeneration area)
  • Degenarea (Degeneration floor area)
  • Restoreblock (Block to be restored every game)

Along with these modes, there are also visual selection helpers. Once in one of the modes, simply type /minigame tool select and the area/locations assigned to that mode will be visually represented with skulls for locations or a diamond block outline of the area.

Typing /minigame tool deselect will deselect anything selected in the current mode.

Creating/Removing start points

Start points can be created or removed simply using the tool. Right Click will create a new start location at the position you are standing, the player that spawns at that point will also face in that direction. As per the Minigames Spawn mechanic (for easy game balance), players will initially spawn in the order you created the start points, if the game allows players to respawn, players will spawn at any of the points (eg. 1st point will be for player 1, 2nd will be player 2 etc).

To remove a start point, simply show the start points using /minigame tool select and Left Click them using the tool.

Creating End, Quit and Lobby locations

Creating these locations works in the exact same way as start positions do. The only difference being that they cannot be removed once created (due to the Minigame needed all these positions [excluding lobby] for a game to work).

Selecting or Removing a selection for Regen and Degen areas

Selecting an area is quite easy. Once in the mode for regeneration or degeneration areas, simply Right Click the first corner of the area you wish to select, then right click the second. Your selection will be outlined with diamond blocks so you can visually see the selection. If you're unhappy with the selection, simply repeat this process and the current selection will be restarted. Once you're happy with the selection, Left Click with the tool and the area will be assigned.
