Stats: This Year selects This Month during January

Describe the bug

An odd little UX bug. Selecting This Year from the drop-down menu actually selects the This Month option. Maybe because it's January?

The screen recording here is from my phone, but I can also reproduce this in desktop Firefox. It looks like the selected option is shown based on the start date in the page URL, rather than the option selected by the end user.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to your stats.
2. Select This Year.
3. This Month is selected.

Expected behavior

A select menu should always show the option that was selected by the end user.
