The advantage of putting the format in an external file is also a big disadvantage since the format has to be transferred to the user. It also has to be read in, parsed and executed for every Tavor execution which is time consuming on big/complex formats.

By allowing the user to compile a binary for the format (no programming needed) these disadvantages can be reduced to just transferring a binary. This would also mean that the user can "sell" this binaries and can keep the original format file(s) as his business secret.
