Description

It is necessary to have a way to backup and restore cluster metadata, such as the users and configuration.

Steps

Dump & Restore (client-side backup)

  • Backup cluster's users
  • Backup cluster's configuration
  • Restore cluster's users
  • Restore cluster's configuration

Export & Import (server-side backup)

  • Add feature flag
  • Backup cluster's users
  • Backup cluster's configuration
  • Restore cluster's users
  • Restore cluster's configuration
  • Enable feature flag by default
