Request alternate check for --enable-shared

The HPE NonStop platform uses link options -Wshared instead of gcc options. Also required is -Weld=-export_all for ia64 and -Wxld=0export_all. Would appreciate guidance on making this work in your configure.ac structure and can contribute it once working. gcc is not available on the platfoms.
