=545 \\$aKennosuke Matsuo was a banker in Los Angeles, California when the United States government forcibly removed him to the Granada Relocation Center, an American concentration camp near Granada, Colorado during the incarceration of Japanese Americans in World War II. During incarceration at Granada, circa 1942-1944, Matsuo worked in the camp's budget and finance department.
=520 \\$aCorrespondence, legal papers, and employment applications created by or concerning Kennosuke Matsuo's incarceration in the Granada Relocation Center, an American concentration camp near Granada, Colorado. The correspondence includes letters written by colleagues and officers at the camp attesting to Matsuo's character, Christian religion, and employment history, 1938-1944. The legal papers include Matsuo's travel papers, documentation concerning his indefinite leave from Granada, and a California Department of Employment report on Matsuo's employment eligibility. The employment applications document Matsuo's efforts to find employment as a banker after leaving the camp. Also includes one photograph of an unidentified man, possibly Matsuo.
