The query that comes from the gramene-ebeye wrapper for carboxy* returns too many results because it is matching fields that are not necessarily descriptive of the gene. For example http://data.gramene.org/v51/search?q=id:VIT_01s0011g01260&fl=* contains the string carboxy within the description of a GO term that is associated with the gene.
