What version of V2Ray are you using?
V2Ray v4.34.0 is used as a proxy server on Microsoft Windows 10.
What's your scenario of using V2Ray?
Socks proxy.
V2Ray is used for browsing websites in Google Chrome.
What did you see?
DNS queries are being made by V2Ray server based on the TLS and HTTP headers from incoming connection.
What's your expectation?
Since "Snipping" and "Destination override" is disabled in server configuration, domain strategy is "AsIs", and only TCP connections are being redirected to the server, I did not expect to see any DNS query from v2ray.
