Password manager or age

Hi,
i'm moving to this wonderful tools called chezmoi
and i'm wondering in which case you choose to encrypt stuff with age over retrieve secret with password manager?

• like ssh key
• gpg key
• token

because i want to keep everything public, for pratical reasons,

how di dyou choose and why ?

I recommend using a password manager for everything. Personally, I use 1Password, but chezmoi supports many others.

Using age encryption is a bit like rolling your own password manager. It has the advantage that you have no external dependencies beyond chezmoi itself, but the user experience is not as smooth as using a password manager.
