I tried using multiple sample patches at multiple pitches, as to circumvent the hardware pitch limitations. To my surprise, the results were seemingly erratic on how they didn't work. I tested on the Neo Geo, where they were all set to the same frequency (18.5KHz like all Neo Geo samples), the same pitch setting of x1, and the same volume of 100%, but for some odd reason, their pitches were all randomly different from the designated pitch in Audacity. In some cases, a few samples pitched upward like I told them to (since the samples I loaded on the Neo Geo were super low), but in other samples, nothing changed. I cross referenced in Deflemask to see if I was missing anything, and didn't find anything wrong with the sample multipliers there. I switched back to the Genesis, and found their pitch multipliers worked just fine with every semitoned sample I tried. It seems it's only a problem with the Neo Geo samples. There's some food for thought in what to fix, come the next version.
