It's a rather basic additive synth for the Apple II, meaning it counts as an Apple II system. There are probably 3 implementations, vanilla, AlphaSyntauri, and Passport Soundchaser. The MCMS has 16 oscillators of probably 16 harmonics. Vanilla lets you use a certain number of oscillators for each channel, while AS and SC only use 2 oscillators per channel. AS uses a weird volume envelope. I remember reading through the documentation for each and couldn't wrap my head around how they work. Despite being obscure, it's available on MAME, or MESS before it merged with MAME. Here are some demos:

Unfortunately, I don't know of any percussive or noise features of the MCMS, so it'll probably need to be paired with the Apple II's DAC to make up for it.
