Documenting all the frustrations I encountered on first use.

Hi, there! Just installed, and this thing looks AWESOME. Looking forward to using it! But I wanted to share some key frustrations I encountered during my first session:

• Lack of NumLock support. All numpad keys are just... numpad keys, rather than alternatives for numbers and/or home, end, arrow keys, pgup, pgdn, insert, etc.
• Lack of (or severe difficulty in finding) setting to configure the "coarse" function of pgup+pgdn in patterns. Seems like that function can only skip 16 whole rows at a time, nothing else. Even changing the 16 highlight row to a second 4 doesn't change it.
• This might be a FamiTracker-specific thing, but I dislike how insert+backspace only move the current column, not the current channel.
• Frustrated that you can't hold shift to begin a selection and press home/end to immediately select everything in the column up to the beginning/end of the pattern.

Thank you! Despite all this, I'm super excited to have this tool at my disposal.

To be honest, I never noticed this! I usually only ever used the numpad keys for numbers. I could see why this would be annoying though

While I tend not to use the page up/down keys in patterns, I think the reason why is due to this lack of functionality. It would make a lot of sense for them to skip to the next highlighted row, but instead, it just skips 16 at a time. It's still useful in its current state, but it would definitely be a lot more useful if it were customizable as you describe

As a former FamiTracker user, I understand what you mean. It took me a while to get used to, but if I need to insert/backspace everything in a column, I usually just select the row of the column with shift+left/right beforehand

As far as I know, this is already a feature in Furnace; however, it does seem to be a bit inconsistent when going longer distances. If you are planning to select the whole column though, then using ctrl+a might be a better option. It's a bit more consistent but requires you to move the selection vertically right before inputting ctrl+a if you want it to select everything in that direction. If you move horizontally last, it will instead extend the selection that way instead
