- 2 pounds peeled potatoes, cut into 1/8-inch slices
- 2 tbs. butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 cup (2 oz) shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1 cup skim milk
- diced garlic to taste
Arrange half of potatoes in 11x7 baking dish and drizzle with half of butter. Sprinkle with half of salt, pepper and garlic and top with half of cheese. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
Bring milk to simmer over low heat. Pour over potatoes. Bake at 425° for 40 minutes.
