Option to deduplicate boosts

If I see a post, I don't necessarily want to see further boosts of it in my columns. I definitely don't want to see more than one boost. Some days, a good ten percent of my feed consists of people boosting things I've seen people boost two or three times before.

This is distinct from the "don't show boosts" option; I want to see something boosted if I haven't seen it before, but I don't want to see it over and over again.

I don't know the best way to set the option. Maybe a column setting? I'd even be happy if I could specify that I don't want to see a boost of a thing if I've seen it within the last N hours or days, acknowledging that the app can't keep an infinite history cached on the device...
