To replicate:

  1. Add a few events with different repeat options (some with Never)
  2. From the All Events page click on the 'Repeats' header
  3. Notice the total count go from the few events you added to an odd number.

This happens because the wp_event_calendar_repeat meta data does not exist for Never.
