Should it detect something like window.leakMe = this?

I've tried this addon on two of my apps and for both it reported "No memory leaks detected".

Not being confident on the outcome, i then tried to retain ApplicationRoute on Window object to see if it detects that, like so:

class ApplicationRoute extends Route() {
  init() {
   window.leakMe = this;
  }
}

And to my surprise no leaks where detected. 🤔

Any tips on how to verify detection actually works as expected?
