Need a better way to notify users that they have been signed out

I had mulitiple SCB tabs open and was logged in as an instructor in both tabs. I then signed out in one tab, and navigated back to the other tab. It looked the same as when I left it, but as soon as I clicked on anything, it took me to a screen asking me to sign back in. I think that it would be better if a dialog window comes up saying that you have been signed out and asking whether you would like to sign back in. The program can then open the dialog/pop-up window that normally appears when you are signing in.
