I think this actually applies to most of the transitions between pages. It might not be an easy fix.

Personally, if the URL changes I like to be able to easily open the transition in a new tab.

Because of the way the React app works, this is a little non-trivial to fix. Trithir spent some time looking into it, and I think we'll revisit this issue in a future pass!
