Dear sp614x.

Can You please add Fabric support officially because Optifabric's Devs haven't enough time to fix all the incompatibilities and update the mod, as well, loads of people are making mods that work with Forge and Fabric, and Fabric's community is getting larger and larger with more mods being ported, created. Tonnes of people are switching from Forge to Fabric (myself included) and have been replacing Optifine with other mods that do the same kinds of things, more on Optifabric's page, but I just can't let go of Optifine because a just bought a new RTX gaming pc and want to use its primary feature, SEUS PTGI, so I sincerely hope that Optifine integrates its code with a fixed, cleaned up copy of Optifabric's.

Sincerely, TheEvPatch

It's already on the list of plans, it's just that sp doesn't have time to close the issue and label it duplicated. It is a complicated work to be compatible with Fabric because many Fabric mods patching vanilla code through Mixin, causing a lot of potential incompatibility. So what you expect is more than to be compatible with Fabric itself. Additionally, sp said there is no plan to support Fabric for now. So there is no practical help in opening this issue. If you just want to use OptiFine, you don't need Fabric or Forge.

but I also want to use fabric's wide variety mods, for example, there is a morph mod called Identity for 1.16 and its the only morph mod for 1.16, and it's incompatible with optifabic.

The OptiFabric development has been taken over by several other people:

Official fabric support should really be added. Just a quick note though, you probably need to at least get closer to Sodium before OptiFine will be more used on Fabric.
